Brand Consolidation

The merger of Actional Corporation, a leading Web services management software provider, and Westbridge Technology, a leading vendor of security infrastructure solutions for Web services and service-oriented architectures, brought new opportunities and new challenges. Actional, an AtreNet client since 2001, needed to launch a new corporate identity and positioning platform to support the merger and herald their SOA Command and Control Platform. AtreNet developed a new identity platform that effectively integrated attributes of both companies and leveraged this identity across a series of web updates and marketing collateral.

The Challenge

• The merger would be supported through a new corporate identity, updates to the Actional web site and refined collateral materials.
• A new logo was needed that maintained recognizable aspects of the Actional logo while incorporating elements from the Westbridge logo.
• Coinciding with the merger, Actional would introduce the Actional SOA Command and Control Platform, a comprehensive new solution platform that would be represented across all aspects of the project.
• To support the updated identity and messaging platform, Actional needed a comprehensive new marketing package.
