Comprehensive User Experience Testing
User experience testing serves as a validation checkpoint in AtreNet's web development methodology. We manage the complete process, from test subject screening, to development of the test protocol, to analysis and presentation of the results. Testing can occur at all stages of the project: on wire frames, design comps, pre-launch website or even post-launch websites. We conduct tests on existing sites and applications to determine strengths and weaknesses and on prototypes of new environments to determine whether strategies, designs and architectures are effective.
Featured Project
Avid.com
User testing was conducted on early-stage wire frames to validate the proposed site hierarchy, labeling, and page-level content and functionality. This approach served to reinforce overall information architecture strategies for the site and allowed us to apply user feedback during design and production. The final site offered a rich and relevant user experienced, keyed to Avid’s core audiences.
Our Testing Methodology
AtreNet user experience testing includes the following steps:
- Scope Definition
AtreNet's methodology begins with understanding the scope of the project, where we work with clients to define who and what will be tested, test environments, audiences, qualitative and quantitative objectives.
- Objective Measurement
AtreNet dives in a little deeper to define specific objectives such as audience segmentation, specific test pages, scenarios and validation testing.
- Subject Screening
Next, AtreNet builds a model to specifically define the desired attributes, quantity and recruitment of tests subjects. We'll work with clients to define how to qualify and disqualify test subjects and determine the recruiting process.
- Quantitative Analysis Design
At this stage quantitative metrics are determined that provide insight into all test subjects. This data stands as a baseline for achieving broader understanding of website usability among audience segments.
- Protocol Development & Execution
We'll complete the test, detail the script for the tester and conduct the testing. Typically participants complete the survey themselves.
- Summarize Results
AtreNet delivers a report that offers quantitative and qualitative feedback on website usability.
