Global Assessment and Strategy

The goal of AtreNet's Assessment and Strategy process will identify aspects of your company's content management system configuration and supported business process that could be targeted for reconfiguration, optimization, or elimination. The objective of the assessment will be cost reduction, staff and process streamlining, and maximizing your CMS's ROI.

AtreNet's experts will employ User scenarios and business process walk-throughs to discover and assess how the current CMS configuration supports compainy's business goals. Following the discovery activity, AtreNet will compile a report listing each User scenario or business process that was assessed and relevant recommendations, based on our specific experience and industry best practices. Our recommendations will also highlight contingencies that might favor a particular deployment model over others.

Global Content Optimization

AtreNet's web site development strategy has always relied on the best practice of separating content from presentation. Whether hand-built or managed in a CMS, content is more readable, maintainable and re-usable when this practice is followed, and there are additional advantages when content will be replicated and localized. Properly constructed and styled content can be easily updated to accommodate character set differences requiring different font sizes, character spacing and line spacing. The best time to do optimization for search engines is when you are paying special attention to markup, tags and other details prior to replication for localization.

ANCRS

At the heart of AtreNet's solution is a globally-aware workflow extension to TeamSite, called ANCRS, which streamlines the content maintenance process and improves allocation of web maintenance resources. Most enterprise websites have one core website that is the primary focus of web and maintenance updates. ANCRS makes use of this common scenario by providing a framework for intelligently replicating selected core content, applying localization as required, and tracking the relationship between pieces of content.

Core content flows out to regional websites through a source/offspring relationship. A piece of core content becomes a source when it is migrated out to a regional website. On the regional website, that same content is an offspring. A source always knows about all their offspring and an offspring always knows about its source. This approach is the foundation for ANCRS, it allows automation of reporting, content localization and migration, and workflows.

By integrating content management systems with localization services, AtreNet's ANCRS framework streamlines content migration, integrates translation workflows and provides extensive reporting. Globalization managers can utilize ANCRS's reporting capabilities to see:
